It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye today to the matriarch of our animal family. In her own mind, Ari was a fire-eating mountain goat and a fearless defender of her pack…but in our hearts she was the sweetest girl you could ever meet. Ari came to us over twelve years ago, not as a rescue but we were her third or fourth home. She didn’t know it, but she was a teacher who taught us all how to be better dog parents. She was a tireless trail dog who would gladly walk or hike anytime or anywhere she was invited. Though she can never be replaced, she will never be forgotten.
